I have been playing Portal 2 lately, and it is truly amazing. The sequel to the bestselling Portal, Portal 2 is the comedy & puzzle adventure that millions of fans love. The gameplay is firstperson, with quick and accurate controls and great graphics.
The storyline is simple: In single-player mode, you’re the human test subject named Chell. You work at Aperture Science Labratories, where an evil female robot (yay!) named GLaDOS constantly tries to kill you with various crazy deadly tests, lazers, turrets, and thousands of other insane mechanics. You only have one thing to defend yourself with:
A portal gun.
In co-op, you and your friend play as two robots that GLaDOS created to help testing, Atlas and P-Body. It can use XBOX live.
I loved this game, and you should get it too, here:
For those of you that have never played a Pokemon game, this is a good time to start, with Pokemon Black/White and the whole new region- The Unova region. The Pokemon games are strategy-filled where you catch pokemon, train them, choose which moves for them to learn, when they should “evolve” (Get stronger, but learn moves slower), who to battle, and what moves to use in the battle. For any strategy-game lover, Pokemon is for you.
Pokemon Black/White are great games. They’re like your average Pokemon game… sort of. Many things are different.
-No Pokemon from previous regions can be seen until end-game. -You have two rivals. -The main “team” against you, Team Plasma, actually doesn’t want to just take over the world- They just want Pokemon to be treated equal, unlike any other “team”s of the other regions. -The Pokemon are pretty basic-looking, and many are based off of previously made Pokemon. -HMs do not require you to beat a gym to use- you just must obtain the HMs through the storyline. -There are new battle techniques, like triple battle (Where each side uses three pokemon at once).
Besides that, storyline and gameplay is pretty similar to previous games. You start off at a new town that conveniently has a Pokemon professor, they give you a pokemon, your main rival takes the pokemon that has a type advantage over yours, (And in this game your second rival takes the last one) you learn how to catch pokemon, you go on this huge journey to get all the gym badges and beat the elite four, and on the way you somehow single-handedly destroy a whole empire of evil people that usually want to take over the world (But not in this game!). There’s also somewhere on the way to the elite four where you can dress up your pokemon and do some kind of beauty pageant.
I do like these games, and they have something unique compared to the other Pokemon games. It’s similar, yet special in its own way.

A few posts ago, I posted about WoW (World of Warcraft). I thought it wasn’t very good, because it was too…simple.
Recently, a friend got me a 2-month WoW card, so I had to play again to not waste it, for he would not take it back. This time, as it wasn’t I trial account, I got the expansion packs (though it did cost a lot) too.
Now I realize how amazing this game is.
The races are diverse, and have their own strengths, weaknesses, and powers.
The classes are completely unique and powerful in their own ways- Druids shapeshift into many forms, hunters use pets to fight, warlocks summon demons, mages use powerful spells, shamans use the power of the elements, paladins are amazing fighters and healers, warriors are even better fighters, rogues slip into the shadows, and death knights are bringers of plague and curse.
But you see… The big difference is the expansion packs. They make a huge difference. It brings a pretty sucky game into an amazing challenging game.
For example.
In Vanilla WoW, or to say, WoW with no expansion packs, almost all quests are the same- “Kill this. Collect its feathers/beak/fur/hide/helm/talons/weapon,” with almost no storyline to go along with it.
But with expansion packs, quests range from “sneak into the enemies layer, assassinate their leader, take their supplies, and fight your way out” to “use this flying machine to gun down the enemies” to “escort and protect me from ___ to ___” to “figure out this puzzle,” all with an intense storyline built in.
In Vanilla, you can’t use four races you can get from expansion packs, two of which use an amazing storyline.
In Vanilla, you can only get to level 60, while with expansion packs you can get to 85 and explore many new places.
The list goes on and on.
It’s an amazing game, but it costs a lot. 15 bucks a month, plus a one-time payment for each expansion pack. It’s pricy, but personally I think it’s worth it.
You can get it at battle.net.
I recently got a new game, Sonic Colors. As you might have seen from the commercials, it is another Sonic game, with lots of running, rings, constantly-changing view (From 2D to 3D, another example is in the game Sonic Unleashed day stage), and other things like that.
What the game is actually about is that it is placed in Dr. Eggman (Robotnik)’s new theme park, based high into space. It gives a great view on the world, has lots of shops, fun rides, places to go, and everything! Eggman has said it is not at all a plot and is to atone for his past actions.
Pssh.
Sonic, knowing that’s not true, hops on a super-speed elevator with Tails to go to the new amusement park. After only walking around a while, they find some of Eggman’s bots running around and chasing odd, small, floating creatures of various shapes and colors, yelling, “Get back here, aliens, boss wants you!”
As Sonic ran towards the strange beings and stopped the robots, one of them actually runs INTO Sonic! As Sonic absorbs him, he slightly levitates, and then springs all over the place, even faster than normal. He could go faster than before!
After this, they find out that Eggman is taking their power to try to do horrifying things. Of course, they go through the park on a rampage, saving the creatures (known as Whisps), and stopping Eggman’s schemes.
I personally think this game is good, but not the best. It’s very fun, and intense gameplay, with very detailed graphics and scary-fast reactions. It seems a little quick, though, as I got through the first world in only around half an hour or less. The controls are too quick- it’s hard to do in a long time and relax unlike the peaceful but exciting Mario games. Rings are lost too easily, and in levels where you can collect tons, there’s almost no monsters and mostly die by falling in pits, where it does not matter how many rings you have. As I said before, good, not the best.

Sorry, but I won’t be able to reply to your comments. If I accept it, it’ll probably mean yes, if you’re asking if you can use my info or something of the like.
I was just in an argument with someone about Runescape vs World of Warcraft. I was on the Runescape side, and this is what I argued. I have played WoW, and truly think Runescape is better.
World of Warcraft pros: You do not see anything that you have not been to on your map Huge world Many races and classes
World of Warcraft cons: Very basic quests Revolved around combat You can only have 2 skills You must buy your skills, no time is needed to level up Skills are REQUIRED for other skills, filling up both your spaces You cannot meet people in other servers, or even in the other team (Alliance and Horde) You cannot friend people in other servers, or even in the other team (Alliance and Horde) Full screen, cannot do multiple things at once Costs to just play Spells cost to buy No common trading system
Runescape pros: Complex quests with lots of puzzles, tools, requirements, killing, brain-using, etc You can friend and message anyone, anywhere, anytime You can switch between servers designed for certain minigames, activities, things to do, etc There are 25 skills, none which -need- buying to use, though some require quests (that are complex) and they use time and using your mind to train instead of just combat Free, but membership allows more things to do Skills are not -required- for other skills, though they help There is a large place to buy and sell things with other players called the “Grand Exchange”, where people across all servers buy and sell items You do not buy spells You can craft runes used for magic, Fletch arrows & bows/crossbows/darts/other things for ranged, and smith weapons for melee Skills can relate to other skills, and quests can too- EX. Chinchompas are caught used hunter, and used in ranged as explosive weapons. Another example- Regicide quest unlocks Isafdar, where you can cath Pawya and Grenwall using hunter if you use a fruit bat to get papayas with summoning Non-members get a good amount of space and things to do There are choosable music and notes you can write to keep in mind There are emotes you can unlock by doing quests, activities, or random events to show off Many fun things to do Is not revolved aroudn combat, but game has a lot of combat in it Many puzzles to do Many areas to explore with skills and quests required to go, or just to explore
Runescape Cons: Not as big as a world as WoW No races or classes Map shows everything, not jsut where you’ve been
His reply:
Another con for RS YOU HAVE TO BUY MEMBERSHIP TO DO ANYTHING FUN BESIDES DUNGEONEERING. Unbalanced weapons, free users get little rune axes while members get Saradomin huge battle axes that can pierce the strongest free member armor. Terrible community, but that’s for both WoW and RS. Scams, hacks and things like that. But that’s for both. Crummy graphics and gameplay. SERIOUS gold inflation.
A pro for RS though is that it has pretty nice music, except dungeoneering music is crap.
My reply:
A contradiction with that:
There are many things for nonmembers to do, like woodcutting, mining, dungeoneering, runecrafting, magic, ranged, melee weaponry, cooking, smithing, fishing, etc.
Quite balanced weapons. Free players get worse weapons because their skills are not trained, and higher levels get better weapons. This is true in all MMO’s. You said that’s for both You said that’s for both. Also, WoW ALLOWS macros. That’s not good. Try high detail. It’s really good detail. The amazing part of RS economy is that the prices continuously change, allowing you to be smart with your money.
No. I don’t think constantly hitting a tree/vein is very fun. I don’t knnow about you, but I don’t. Melee weaponry isn’t something to do. Smithing and cooking is repititive, going fishing and going back to cook. Fish, cook, fish, cook. So is smithing. Mine smelt hammer. Mine smelt hammer. Mine smelt hammer. And, the only thing that affects it is luck and that stat.
No. I have pretty decent stats and the highest I can get is rune, because corrupt dragon BREAKS WHEN YOU USE IT A FEW TIMES. Everything higher than corrupt dragon is members only.
Never tried high detail, so I can’t say anything.
But even though it makes it realistic (ex. working hard for your money, etc.), does it make sense for it to be so high? A decent metal for millions, hundred thousands of cents/dollars? No. And, if it costs so much and if it’s so rare, how come members mine it like it’s nothing, selling it cheap and saying “”It’s easy to get.”?

At least it’s something. WoW is just plain mindless combat. At least it’s something. Also, WoW combat is just the same thing. Spell spell spell kill. Spell spell spell kill. Spell spell spell kill.
“No. I have pretty decent stats and the highest I can get is rune, because corrupt dragon BREAKS WHEN YOU USE IT A FEW TIMES. Everything higher than corrupt dragon is members only.”
Notice CORRUPT. It is the non-member version of the armor and weapons, to show non-members a bit about what members can do. It’d only make sense that it would eventually degrade.
“Never tried high detail, so I can’t say anything.”
Get your facts.

Iron, coal, mithril, all those things are available to non-members that create a lot of money. And nothing in the game costs real money to get besides membership. Also, decent metals are things like rune and mithril and adamanite. They are less than 100k, which is very cheap in the game.

Spore is a great game, with a good storyline and good gameplay.
Spore is a massive SINGLE player game, where every”one” (the AI’s and you) have the same big goal, to evolve. You must fight, ally, or maybe even buy(in later stages) the other creatures, all while building your empire and evolving.
There are 5 stages of the game- Cell, Creature, Tribe, City, and Space.
In Cell, you arrive at your new planet from a meteor, as a puny cell. You choose if you are a herbivore or carnivore- this matters a LOT. It sets the whole plot for the rest of the game. So, anyways, you choose your creature’s diet. You then control it around the ocean using the arrow keys, to make it fight (and eat) other creatures if carnivore, or just finding green plant cells if herbivore. You must collect enough food, by adding parts to your cell (unlockable parts), and then finally evolve into a creature.
In the Creature stage, you have legs, and have woken up in a new day to a whole new world. As a herbivore, you must find plants to eat, then ally or kill other creatures. (All three of these things help you evolve, but the later who help much more.) As a carnivore, you have to eat other creatures. You also can ally, but it’s recommended to just kill so you can eat. If you don’t eat for long enough, you die of hunger and must go back to your nest. You can also be killed by enemies. If you’ve allied, eaten, and/or killed enough, you may evolve into Tribal Stage. Your brain has been growing, which you see happen.
In the Tribal stage, you are a tribe of your creature. There are 5 other tribes. You must conquer or ally them, allying being easier. You collect food by fishing, attacking animals, or collecting from plants. You must conquer or ally them all to move on to City stage.
In the City stag, your species has conquered the world, but it no longer speaks with a single voice. You are only one of your many cities. You must buy, ally, or kill them all to REALLY conquer the world. Start out as a single city, take the others, and boom, you’ll rule the world. Literally. After you’ve done that, you advance to the last stage…. Space stage.
I don’t want to ruin the surprise of Space Stage. It’s definitely the best part of the game.
There’s also creators, where you design vehicles (for Civilization and Space stage), spaceships (for Space stage), creatures (for creature+ stage), and buildings (for civilization and space stage).
I really love this game, and hope you all try it.

Well, haven’t played any new games in a while. Though, I have found one.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a game for the Wii. I quite like it. It does not have a great storyline, but amazing gameplay.
The storyline is close to Super Mario Galaxy 1′s. Mario goes to some star festival, which is held every one hundred years, and is completely excited because Princess Peach has invited him.
He runs to the castle, but then… BOOM! Tons of crystals come falling from the sky. A small silver star-like creature is found, and he takes a liking to Mario. Oddly, he jumps in his hat. Mario’s in a hurry, so he doesn’t care, and keeps running.
But when he gets there… A GIANT BOWSER IS WAITING FOR HIM! Then, the classic Mario story begins. Bowser takes Peach, Mario goes after him, all that crazy stuff.
Off that topic, the gameplay is great. There are tons of new power-ups, like the drill, and Yoshi is there too!
I really like this game. Here’s a link:
I was thinking lately about my blog, and realized I didn’t have enough about websites. So , why not write some more tips, right? Here’s some about my favorite website, RuneScape.
1. If you are a member, buying steel bars and smithing them into cannonballs is a great way to make money. 2. The game is 10x better if you have membership 3. See number two 4. Cutting willow trees at lower levels is really fast experience 5. Fletching is a very expensive skill 6. Only train magic if you’re thinking about using Ancient Magicks 7. Dungeoneering isn’t that great of a skill, train it less 8. World 31 is awesome 9. Carefully choose the items you use High Alchemy on
Just wanted to give you those few tips. Come back soon!
Sorry guys. I’ve been really busy- But I’m back! And, I have a game I REALLY love to tell you about. New Super Mario Brothers Wii. (There’s also a Nintendo DS version, but I like Wii a lot better.) It’s like classic super mario bros, yet it’s completely different all at the same time.
As a story summary, it’s Princess Peach’s birthday. She gets this HUGE cake… But it turns out, it’s a trap! Bowser’s kids pop out of it, and trap her inside her own cake… That must be one tasty jail cell… Anyways, Mario & friends (Luigi & two toads) set out to get her back.
In the game, you play as Mario. The game, levels and all, is a bit like classic Mario Brothers. But, it has two new powerups for one (Penguin [WHICH IS THE BEST POWERUP EVER!] and propellor hat), for two has much better graphics, and three, it can have up to four players.
Oh, the multiplayers. I love that so much. Why? I’ll tell you… 1. If you lose all your lives, you don’t get a game over if any other players have 1 or more lives. 2. It’s fun messing around with others (throwing them off cliffs, into enemies, throwing ice blocks at them, using them as human shields/weapons, pushing them off cliffs, the possibilities are endless!) 3. The more the merrier!
Sorry this post may not be as good as the others, but I’m a little rusty. I’ll DEFINETLY start posting again. Hope ya come back soon!
